What We Believe

The congregation of the Universal Church of Freedom, Peace & Justice is comprised of individuals from across the world who think for themselves. We believe in creating a win/win world; it is possible to arrive at peaceful and equitable solutions within the realm of conflict resolution on both a micro and a macro scale.

THE POWER TO DECLARE WAR
Only congress has the right to declare war. The last time congress successfully exercised this right was in 1942; since then, America has waged numerous illegal wars throughout the world. Congress has given the President full authority to wage war — this must be stopped and the Constitution must be honored.

LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE
We the People pay for war with our hard-earned money and our young lives. We propose direct democracy, a national referendum whereby the people vote “yes” or “no” to go to war, and Congress must obey the outcome of the vote.

UNITE FOR PEACE
The United States of America is becoming the Divided States of America. We vow to celebrate, honor, and respect the true meaning of the American spirit: liberty, love, joy and beauty, and the idea that all human beings are created equal.

OCCUPY FREEDOM, PEACE & JUSTICE
Just as politicians have violated the Constitution by taking us to war, they have robbed us of our freedom, peace and justice with draconian rules and regulations. We are plagued by constant surveillance, the right to assembly, lockdowns, and violations of our personal rights. We propose direct democracy: let the people decide our fate and future, not the politicians.

RESTORATION OF FREEDOM
We no longer have freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, or the ability to live as free-spirited Americans. The powers that be tell us what to do, where we can do it, and with how many we can do it with. We must peacefully restore the American way that has been taken from us.

NON-INTERVENTIONISM
We believe not in isolation, but rather non-intervention. We not should be the world’s police; rather, we should assist in the negotiation of peaceful and equitable solutions.

BRING OUR TROOPS HOME
We reject the idea that foreign nations should be subject to American occupation — over 800 American military bases are spread throughout the world, a campaign that costs taxpayers $300 billion per year.

REBUILD AMERICA
When the troops come home, they can be put to work rebuilding America’s rotting infrastructure. We have dubbed this the “Troops Progress Administration (TPA),” a 21st century WPA program. When they are discharged from the military, they will have gained practical skills that will help them live productive lives.
